Young Ficci Ladies Organisation (YFLO) is a unique platform for young women from diverse professional and entrepreneurial backgrounds to interact with each other, learn, explore new avenues and launch their ideas in a supportive and nurturing environment. Launched on April 28th, 2004 by Ms Durga Jasraj, with Ms Shallu Jindal as the Founder Chairperson, Delhi, the organisation’s primary objective is to promote entrepreneurship and professional excellence in women.
Ms. Shallu Jindal was felicitated at FICCI event "The Purpose Driven Life" in 2013.
YFLO under Ms. Shallu Jindal introduced Young Women Achievers given to 12 women from different walks in life was a step in this direction towards women empowerment and inspiring more women leaders for future. The awardees included actor Karishma Kapoor, ace shooter Sushma Singh, entrepreneurs' Priya Paul and Divya Gurwara, artistes Yamini Reddy and Zila Khan.
As YFLO founder President she set about her job in right earnest by appropriately calling in for a meet which was called Today's Vision, Tomorrow's Mission. The seminar hosted leading young achievers like the then Member of Parliament, Sachin Pilot, a good cricketer Ajay Jadeja, famous TV personalities Smriti Irani and Vikram Chandra. Anchored by Ms. Shallu Jindal the discussion centered on the overall empowerment of women. By bringing in related issues like education, employment and entertainment in the empowerment of the young women of India the seminar threw up many relevant ideas and provided the right direction for the future. Widely covered, the media brought into sharp focus the discussion and agenda which was the positive message for the future.
